In the case of tattoo aftercare the concept LESS IS MORE should really  be your mindset.

Below just some basic info:

1. Always let you tattoo dry out as much as possible.
2. Once the itching process sets it is time to start applying ointment. (+- 4days after receiving tattoo). Use as little as possible to cover the whole tattoo and rub it in completely (at no time should the tattoo be shiny). Your tattoo must be able to breathe.
3. The more the tattoo starts to itch (5 - 6 days after receiving tattoo) the more often ointment can be applied.
